You are invited to consider all that the Woodson Art Museum offers students during the 2012-2013 school year. Thematic, docent-led Experiences for students in PreK through grade 12 are structured to encourage close observation, foster an open exchange of ideas, and cultivate connections between art and life.
When students look carefully at works of art, they have opportunities to think creatively and critically. Your students will compare and connect, question, puzzle, and reason with evidence. Most powerfully, they will develop their own interpretations and ideas about artworks. Museum educators are available to work closely with you to ensure that Woodson Art Museum Experiences enhance, support, and extend classroom learning and curriculum objectives.
The Teacher Resource Guide provides relevant information for the 2012-2013 academic year. All pre-visit education material, maps, chaperone notes, and other important visit materials also are available online. The Teacher Resource Guide is divided into readable/downloadable PDF sections:
The 2012-2013 Experiences Brochure includes:
- Exhibitions on view during the academic year
