Natural Wonders explores the distinctive qualities inherent in artworks having an intimate, closely-focused perspective. The smaller scale of these works pulls spectators nearer, igniting a heightened aesthetic experience between viewer and object and enticing the observer into a close examination of exquisite details often overlooked in large-scale works. As a group, these 60 small-scale works from the Woodson Art Museum’s permanent collection yield remarkably large views of the natural world.
