How well does the human eye “read” nature
and its subtleties? Thanks to the camera work of experienced photographers,
the 60 works in Visual Poetry focus on
the pulsating patterns and tantalizing textures evident
in nature, ranging from sweeping landscapes and waterscapes to more intimate
settings such as a dewy cobweb and butterfly wing. These captivating images
can be readily comprehended and appreciated for having stripped away clutter
to present visual verse at its best. All images are from the Woodson Art Museum’s permanent collection.
