Green Bay Packers Foundation Grant to Support Tactile Exhibition
The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum received a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation to support a future tactile exhibition, inviting all visitors to experience a new way to “see” by touching a selection of artwork from the Museum’s collection. Woodson Art Museum director Kathy Kelsey Foley and assistant director Matt Foss received a $3,000 grant check during a December 5 luncheon at the Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay.
Victor Vasarely: Op Art Master on View through February 24
An exhibition of artwork by the world-renowned father of the Op Art movement, Victor Vasarely, opened at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum on Saturday, December 1. Victor Vasarely: Op Art Master, an exhibition from the collection of Herakleidon Museum in Athens, Greece, comprises more than 150 serigraphs, lithographs, and gouache paintings – designed to engage the mind and eye.

Chief Ben Visits the Art Museum
I’ve said many times that I love all my children, co-workers, and visitors equally. While true, I have a soft spot for first-time visitors. Little did I know when Wausau Police Department Chief Ben Bliven contacted me prior to the holidays about his plans for community volunteering – #seasonofgiving – and his interest in the Woodson Art Museum, that his visit would not only warm my heart, but also be a “textbook” example of first-time visitor awe and delight.
