Bring on 2018

By: Kathy Kelsey Foley, director on January 3rd, 2018

Regular Woodson Wanderings readers know that Woodson Art Museum staff members share the responsibility for our weekly posts. It’s a source of great pride to note that for almost ten years we have not missed a single week. That’s not only a lot of writing, but also a lot of information sharing.

I’m a perennial optimist; looking ahead makes me smile.

I’m excited about the programs and exhibitions on the Museum’s 2018 docket, including Mary Fons’s mid-January visit and the extraordinary “rarely seen” National Geographic photographs that will fill our galleries this spring.

Since we often bring our personal lives into our blog posts, there will be Foley family news to come that has me eagerly looking forward to the next few months.

In February, my husband and I will become grandparents and in March we’ll welcome a second son-in-law into our family.

While it may be hard to compete with those National Geographic images, I suspect that baby photos along with wedding photos might just have a chance.

I’m enormously proud of all that the Woodson Art Museum has accomplished in the year just completed and grateful for the support of our visitors, members, donors, and everyone who benefits from the Museum’s offerings whether in person or virtually.

I expect the year ahead to be even more productive and exciting. I invite you to continue to wander with the Woodson Art Museum staff as we merrily blog along.

Here’s to a fabulous 2018!
