Self-guided Visits

Self-guided visits offer time for reflection, rejuvenation, and independent exploration. Consider these suggestions and prompts to enrich your self-guided Museum visit.

Docent-led experiences are guided tours highlighting changing exhibitions and artwork from the collection. Docents facilitate thoughtful dialogue through hands-on materials, storytelling, and interactive questions. Tours also include a hands-on art-making component, which relates to exhibition themes. Schedule School Tour Experience

Your class is invited to participate in as many Woodson Art Museum experiences as you like during the academic year. Each will focus on the current exhibition and can be tailored to support specific classroom curriculum. Connect with via email or call 715.845.7010 to discuss the possibilities.

Recommended Tour Lengths:

  • Pre-K – 2nd grade: 45 minutes
  • 3rd – 5th grade: 1 hour
  • 6th – 8th grade: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • 9th – 12th grade: 1 hour 30 minutes
