CULTIVATING BEAUTY

25 YEARS OF NANCY WOODSON SPIRE FOUNDATION ACQUISITIONS

Over the course of fifty years, the Museum has carefully cultivated a permanent collection that spans diverse time periods and artistic styles due in part to the generosity of twenty-five years of the Nancy Woodson Spire Foundation. To mark this anniversary, the Museum presents Cultivating Beauty: 25 Years of Nancy Woodson Spire Foundation Acquisitions, an exhibition that highlights how this thoughtful collecting effort has helped define the character of the institution and how it serves the public, adding depth and diversity to its holdings.

Celebrate a legacy that enriched the Museum’s collection with masterworks–from French Impressionist Camille Pissarro to American luminist Martin Johnson Heade–that continue to inspire reflection on the enduring relationship between the natural world and creative expression.

Thanks to the members, donors, grantors, and sponsors who support exhibitions and programs.
