This week’s record-breaking blizzard was quite impressive. The week leading up to it had us all checking our respected weather apps for updates. Could the two feet of snow predicted for Sunday, March 15, 2026, really be true? Well, it was, and it turned out that Wausau broke both a daily record and a three-day record for snow fall with this mid-March blizzard producing over 30 inches of total snow.

Though we all may be a little saddened by the fact this snow has covered our first glimpses of spring, we can all be happy that our future flowers will benefit from all this snow once it does melt.

In the meantime, check out what the Woodson Art Museum and our Sculpture Garden look like under 30 inches of drifting snow and be sure to stop in to view Tiffany or Ti-phony: A Story of Desire before it closes on May 3.
