The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum is proud to be a member of Wisconsin Art Destinations. Wisconsin Art Destinations is comprised of 14 art museums working together to raise the profile of Wisconsin as a destination for the visual arts by inviting visitors of all backgrounds to explore and experience the state’s art museums and surrounding communities. Located in communities from Racine in the south to Wausau in the north, these 14 art museums, along with their surrounding areas, offer a vibrant spectrum of destination experiences. We’re thrilled to be coming together with our fellow art museums around the state to highlight the truly remarkable artistry that is around every corner in Wisconsin.
As part of our efforts to spotlight Wisconsin as premier a destination for the visual arts, Wisconsin Art Destinations is offering a special “Visit 3, Get a T” promotion this year. From August through October, visitors who check in at participating museums in any three Wisconsin cities will earn a limited-edition, artist-designed t-shirt (while supplies last).
Each participating museum will display a custom QR code at the front or registration desk. Visitors will scan the code to check in at that specific museum using their mobile device. Each check-in is automatically tracked through a central system. Once a visitor checks in at their third museum, staff can verify eligibility—and the visitor can then receive their free T-shirt. Museums have also partnered with local lodging, dining and other attractions to offer exclusive discounts for Wisconsin Art Destination visitors, making it easy and affordable to plan a cultural road trip this fall. Visit www.wisconsinartdestinations.com/deals for a full list of offers and redemption details.
