Musical Making
Strum, sing, and make through this hands-on experience with Artist in Residence, Camry Ivory. Participants will explore the intersection of art and music while creating musical drawings, developing a found object orchestra, and exploring Coloratura technology.
Who is Camry Ivory?
Camry Ivory is a musician, artist, and inventor from Kansas City, Missouri. She is the creative force behind Coloratura, a groundbreaking instrument that transforms ordinary paint brushes into tools for creating electronic music and analog art simultaneously. Camry will be a Resident Artist at the Museum’s Glass Box Studio July 20 – August 1. She will be working with several audiences and offering programming and outreach in the Wausau area. Summer Art Sessions encourage creativity and making for young artists during one-day workshops focusing on an array of different art forms. Explore the reimagined Summer Art Session experiences for elementary, middle, and high school students inspired by the Museum’s collection and guest artist, Camry Ivory. Fee: $30 for Museum members, $45 for non-members.
