Thursday, September 4

Exhibition Preview, 4 – 7 pm

Take a first look at Birds in Art and enjoy a block party atmosphere with food trucks and programming on the Museum’s campus during this exclusive event for Museum members, exhibiting artists, and their guests

Friday, September 5

Breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn, 7 – 9 am

Choice of Artist Excursion, 7 am – Noon, varying times**

Welcome Luncheon at The Grand Theater, Noon – 1:30 pm**

Artists-only time in the Birds in Art galleries and selection of purchased Project Postcards, 2 – 4 pm

Exhibition Preview, 4 pm – 7 pm

Day two of this exclusive event features changing local food options and variations on complementary programming

50th Year Celebration, 7:30 – 10:30 pm**

An evening at the Hilton Garden Inn for Museum leadership-level members and artists and a guest

Saturday, September 6

Breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn, 7 – 9 am

Birds in Art Public Opening, 9 am – 5 pm

Artists in Action, 10:45 – 11:45 am

Point O’ Pines Artists’ Outing, Noon – Dusk**

Enjoy the Northwoods of Wisconsin on the Woodson Family property, complete with a Wisconsin-inspired supper and numerous activities

Sunday, September 7

Breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn, 7 – 9 am

Birds in Art at the Woodson Art Museum, 10 am – 5 pm

TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL?

Who can I invite to join me, and what can they attend?
You can invite multiple guests, but only one guest may attend select events, including:  Friday morning Artists’ Excursions, Friday Welcome Luncheon at the Grand Theater, Friday evening 50th Year Celebration at the Hilton Garden Inn, and the Saturday Point O’ Pines Artists’ Outing to northern Wisconsin.

Can I still invite people if I am not attending?
If you do not attend, you may still request a maximum of 4 invitations to the preview experience to be sent to family, friends, and business associates. Please use the Request Invitations form.

Where can relatives, friends, and business associates stay over the weekend?
The Museum makes reservations for artists and their guests at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2101 N. Mountain Road, Wausau, WI 54401 (715.298.5775). You will request your hotel accommodations in the Attendance Form.

Due to the increase in artists in the exhibition during this milestone year, we will have to extend our footprint to an additional hotel. Artist guests can book their lodging reservations at the Courtyard by Marriott, 1000 S 22nd Ave, Wausau, WI 54401 (715.849.2124), and they will receive the Museum’s block rate of $149.00 per night between Thursday, September 4, and Sunday, September 7. Please have your guests call the Courtyard by Marriott or book their reservations online. The last day to book is Monday, August 4, 2025.

While there are other hotel options in the Wausau area, hotels fill up quickly due to Wausau’s Artrageous Weekend activities.

What if I arrive prior to Thursday or stay beyond Sunday?
If your travel plans bring you to Wausau earlier than Thursday or if you plan to remain after Sunday, we can assist you in making reservations for lodging at the Hilton Garden Inn. Please indicate your additional days when you fill out the Attendance Form. You will be responsible for the cost of additional nights at the Hilton Garden Inn at a special rate of $165.00 per night plus tax.
