Birds in Art 2019 Taking Flight at the Woodson Art Museum

New avian-themed artworks by 114 worldwide artists comprise the 44th annual Birds in Art exhibition, on view Saturday, September 7 through Sunday, December 1, at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum.
This year’s exhibition includes artwork by 2019 Master Alan Woollett, 22 who were named Master Artists during previous Birds in Art exhibitions, and 91 artists whose work was selected by the jury. In addition to thirty-three international artists, the 2019 exhibition includes artwork created by nine Wisconsin artists and seventeen new to Birds in Art.

The Woodson Art Museum documents its annual Birds in Art exhibition with a fully illustrated, four-color catalogue. Pre-order the 2019 Birds in Art catalogue now; all orders will be shipped in early September. This 134-page commemorative catalogue features 127 artworks along with artists’ statements by each of the 114 artists included in the exhibition.
