A Crow a Day
On August 1, 2014 Canadian-born artist Karen Bondarchuk set out to mark the passing time that her mother – diagnosed with advanced dementia – could not. For 365 days, she produced a crow a day on a hand-cut, hand-gessoed panel, remembering her mother as she was and grieving her loss. The resulting work explores communication and an artist’s relationship to the world; it resonates for its depth, beauty, and elegiac and potent whimsy.

An Abundance of Riches
Explore the worlds of art and nature through Andrea Rich’s technically complex and creatively elegant woodcuts. An internationally recognized artist, Rich draws on print traditions as diverse as Albrecht Dürer and the Japanese Ukiyo-e to yield a body of work distinctly her own.

Molten: 30 Years of American Studio Glass
At its heart, Molten is about an experiment. Before the 20th century, glass was traditionally produced in factories. The designer of the glass object and its maker were separated by the boundaries of technical and mechanical knowledge. The fundamental aim of Studio Glass was to upend this relationship: to make glass outside of the factory. Now, an artist could blow, mold, and sculpt molten glass. The glass artist became the designer and maker.

Birds in Art
The feather forecast is always favorable when Birds in Art is on view. Whether the subjects are backyard feeder favorites or exotic species from around the world, an international cast of artists interprets avian themes and habitats employing diverse styles and mediums. Art lovers and bird lovers alike always find something to crow about as they discover the harmony and serenity or the power and tension that infuse these artworks.
