Gunnar Tryggmo Named 2024 Woodson Art Museum Master Wildlife Artist
The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum announced Swedish artist Gunnar Tryggmo as its 2024 Master Wildlife Artist. He will be honored during the 49th annual Birds in Art exhibition this fall. Tryggmo, the 41st Master Artist, will receive the Master Wildlife Artist Medal during Birds in Art Opening Weekend, September 7 and 8.

On the first Thursday of each month, the Museum offers extended hours for visitors to get the chance to explore the galleries and grounds. First Thursdays in the summer are even more special because they include Sculpture Garden Yoga, a beginner-friendly class taught by instructors from 5 Koshas Yoga and Wellness. I began participating in these classes last summer. Who doesn’t like a little after-work zen?
