Excitement is building for a spectacular admission-free feature – glassmaking demonstrations, April 29-May 8, when glowing, molten glass will be transformed into sparkling objects at the Woodson Art Museum. The ten days of live, narrated glassmaking demonstrations coincide with National Travel and Tourism Week and provide perfect opportunities for exactly what the Wisconsin Department of Tourism is emphasizing in its Travel Wisconsin promotions this year: shared moments of joy.

I’ve never taken my eyesight for granted. It’s a valued gift, to be sure, that not only impacts my art museum work, but brings joy in immeasurable ways. In the galleries, colors – resplendent in both the Art Deco Glass and Molten exhibitions – are more vivid than I had previously observed.
